
On November 13, the 3rd World Young Scientists Summit (WYSS) grandly opened. As one of its key sub-forums, the International Forum on Brain Health and Functional Rehabilitation and the 2nd Oujiang International Forum on Alzheimer's Disease also commenced . The forum was co-organized by Oujiang Laboratory, the Wenzhou Medical University Geriatric Research Institute, and the Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory for Alzheimer's Disease Research。Ten academicians, including Yang Xiongli, Zhang Xu, Duan Shumin, and Lu Lin from the Chinese Academy of Sciences; Song Weihong and Liu Fang from the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences; and Zhuo Min from the Royal Society of Canada, alongside nearly a hundred experts in brain health-related fields, gathered to exchange cutting-edge ideas, discuss the latest technologies, and analyze future industry trends . Yao Gaoyuan, Deputy Secretary of the Wenzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor, and Lu Jin, Member of the Leading Party Group and Vice Chairman of the Zhejiang Association for Science and Technology, attended and addressed the forum

Mayor Yao Gaoyuan outlined Wenzhou's recent developments in scientific and technological innovation, highlighting how the gathering of top talents has enhanced the city's independent innovation capability and core competitiveness in the life and health sector. He expressed his hope that through this high-quality international forum, experts would favor Wenzhou, engage deeply with the city, and contribute to building a high-level Healthy Wenzhou

Lu Jin stated that the 2021 WYSS continued to uphold the theme of "Gathering Global Talents for a Shared Future," with the annual topic of "Responsibility, Innovation, Cooperation – Youth Taking Action for Sustainable Human Development." He expressed his hope that Wenzhou, with its innate innovative "force," would become a paradise for young scientists to build their careers
