1. Job Advert: Executive Secretary
Key Responsibilitie
· Provide comprehensive administrative support to Elsheikh research group, including meeting organization, travel arrangement, and communication coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
· Prepare and manage research-related documentation, reports, and presentations.
· Maintain and organize records of the group’s clinical data, programming codes and other material.
· Maintain correspondence with academic and research collaborators, both nationally and internationally.
· Help manage lab resources, including project budgets and equipment.
· Oversee health and safety matters in the research group.
· Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Requirements
· Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
· Bachelor degree or Master degree.
· Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
· Previous administrative or secretarial experience in a research or academic setting is preferred.
· Strong organizational, multitasking, interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.

2. Job Advert: Postdoctoral Fellow, Intern Researcher / Assistant Engineer, and Research Assistant
Requirements
· Candidates with finite element analysis, experimental testing, mathematical techniques or programming in Python or Matlab will be given priority.
· Have a first degree in mathematics, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, biomedical engineering, or software engineering;
· Fluency in English (both written and spoken) and be proficient in using office software.
· Strong organizational, multitasking, interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
· Postdoctoral Fellow applicants should have a PhD, published papers, patents or commercialization experience, and be under 35.
Benefits
· Competitive salary packages are provided based on the applicant’s scientific research level: the total salary for postdoctoral fellows in the station for 2 years is ≥900,000 yuan, and there will be a housing subsidy for talents who stay in Wenzhou after leaving the station; the annual salary before tax for assistant researchers/engineers is 18- 300,000 yuan; internship researcher/assistant engineer/research assistant (annual salary before tax is 120,000-180,000 yuan; five insurances and one housing fund are complete, and monthly meal allowances, talent apartments, trade union benefits, etc. are provided. Depending on work performance, the reward will be considerable scientific research performance rewards.

About Professor Ahmed Elsheikh
Professor Ahmed Elsheikh is a world-leading expert in ocular biomechanics, a Principal Investigator at OuJiang Laboraty, and a Chair Professor at the School of Engineering at the University of Liverpool, UK. He is a former Dean of the school and a Chartered Engineer, as well as a Senior Fellow of the Academy of Higher Education. His research focuses on ocular biomaterial characterization, numerical simulation of ocular biomechanical properties, and the development of advanced medical equipment for eye health management.
Professor Elsheikh has received a special grant from the National Health Research and Biomedical Research Center (NIHR-BRC) at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to ocular biomechanics. He is a prominent figure in international scientific collaboration, with research partnerships across Europe, America, and Asia, and has secured nearly £11 million in project funding. With 8 books, 220+ journal papers, and 150+ conference papers, his work has been cited over 8600 times.
Research direction
· The development of rigid or soft orthokeratology lenses to reduce refractive error and delay the progression of myopia;
· The development of non-contact tonometer to provide more accurate intraocular pressure measurement data for the follow-up of glaucoma patients;
· Measurement of corneal biomechanical properties in vivo to assist in the optimization of various clinical ophthalmic surgeries。
