Overview of Academic Research

Professor Lin and her team have been dedicated to addressing critical challenges in the field of central nervous system (CNS) diseases and regenerative medicine. Her major research focus is on innovative drug discovery and the clinical translation of growth factor mechanisms for CNS repair and regenerative medicine. She has conducted pioneering work in elucidating the roles of FGF/FGFR signaling in brain development and function, utilizing advanced technologies such as 3D brain atlasing, ultra-high-speed light-sheet imaging, and single-cell sequencing. Additionally, she has developed novel therapeutic strategies for neurological disorders, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, and Alzheimer's disease. Her work explores how fibroblast growth factors (FGFs) shape neurological disorders, their potential to restore neural function, and the foundation they provide for future clinical therapies.

Her research interests include:

1. High-definition FGFs distribution in the CNS and action loop in the neural circuits;

2. Mechanisms and clinical translation of FGFs in CNS diseases;

3. Smart brain-targeted delivery of FGFs for CNS repair and novel drug discovery.
