Overview of Academic Research

Prof. Fangfu Ye and his team have been dedicated to answering key questions in the field of soft matter physics and statistical physics. His major research field is soft condensed matter physics, biophysics, and biomedical engineering. He has conducted innovative work in the active matter, cell dynamics modeling and behavior prediction, as well as the construction and application of intelligent micro/nanostructured biomaterials. By integrating soft matter physics with cutting-edge biomedical technologies, the research bridges the design of functional biomaterials guided by soft matter physics with their ultimate application in medical practice.

His research interest include:

1.       Regulation of extracellular microenvironment on the behavior of nerve cells, tumor cells, stem cells, etc.;

2.       Study of interactions between cell membranes and proteins;

3.       Design of functional biomaterials;

4.   Development of medical imaging and detection technologies;

5.   Structural properties and phase transitions of complex networks;

6.   Collective behavior of self-spinning particle systems.
