1. Differentiation of human embryonic stem cells into precursor cells, mature somatic cells, single tissues, and composite tissues, which are applied in cellular therapy and transplantation therapy, as well as in research on human normal development, function, repair, disease prevention, and treatment.
2. Development of prevention and evaluation tools from human embryonic stem cells, which are used to detect and assess the efficacy and safety of pharmaceuticals, biomaterials, and therapeutic methods.
3. Establishment of cost-effective human-like models from human embryonic stem cells, which are applied to investigate the impacts of natural and man-made products on human health and safety.
4. Immune properties of stem cells and their differentiated progeny cells.
5. Design and research and development of scaffolds and prostheses with highly macroporous structures suitable for systemic and oral implantation, for the repair of tissues and organs.
